Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 package ramen , (throw away packet)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup bacon crumbles
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese , plus more for garnish
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Add ramen and water to ramen cooker.
  • Cook for 3 minutes.
  • Drain leftover pasta water in a cereal bowl.
  • Add half of the parmesan cheese to the water and stir.
  • Add egg yolk and stir quickly (don't let the egg sit in the water or it will cook in the hot water).
  • Toss the ramen into the egg mixture.
  • Add the bacon to the ramen along with the rest of the parmesan and stir.
  • Microwave for 20 seconds to heat bacon.
