Microwave Cheeseburger Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dried elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup cheddar , shredded
  • 2 frozen beef meatballs , chopped
  • 1 slice American cheese
  • ketchup (optional)

Instructions

  • Mix pasta, water and salt in a deep cereal bowl.
  • Microwave for 2 minutes.
  • Mix well and microwave for 2 more minutes (check if it boils - if it boils over stop microwave immediately to stir).
  • Check to make sure there is enough water (add 1/4 cup water if it is dry)
  • Mix again and microwave another 2 minutes
  • Check for doneness here, microwave one more time if needed.
  • Add in the milk, meatballs, and cheddar cheese, stirring well.
  • Microwave for 1 minute until meatballs are warmed through.
  • If the cheese doesn’t melt all the way, you can microwave for 45 seconds then stir again.
  • Top with American cheese and any toppings you want.
