Microwave Scrambled Eggs are the PERFECT easy breakfast that takes under 90 seconds to make the fluffiest eggs even Gordon Ramsay couldn’t beat.
Okay, so you hit snooze. You hit snooze 4 times. You’re very late but you know you’re going to be horrible to be around if you don’t get some food. Don’t worry, you can have piping hot Scrambled Eggs ready to go in about a minute and a half.
MICROWAVE SCRAMBLED EGGS
Eggs are great. They’re high in protein, they help with hangover (allegedly), and they’ll give you a ton of energy. They’re also high in cholesterol, but let’s not get into that. You may not know that you can make Scrambled Eggs in the microwave, but guess what? You can and you should.
How to make Microwave Scrambled Eggs
- Melt the butter in your microwave.
- Whisk 2 eggs and milk into your butter.
- Microwave for 30 seconds, stir and then microwave for another 30 seconds.
- Season with salt and pepper.
SAVE SOME MICROWAVE SCRAMBLED EGGS FOR LATER
You really should just eat them in one go and be done with it, but if you really can’t finish them all you can wrap them up and keep them in the fridge for about 3 days. They won’t be as good as they were when they were fresh, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
COST
$: You need eggs, milk, and a few spices. You can get all of these for really cheap and if you store the spices properly (not spread across the floor) they’ll stay good for a while.
MICROWAVE TABLE
- 1,000 watts or higher: Higher wattage, lower cook time. Our microwave is about 1,250 watts, but if you have one with about 1,000 watts you will want to cook this recipe for 00:54, then 00:36-00:54, depending on how burning hot you want it.
- 700 watts: Microwaves under about 900 don’t heat things evenly or consistently, so don’t go anywhere while you’re cooking, you need to keep an eye on it. Cook for about 1:17, then again for 00:51-1:17, and test it with a finger tip before you spoon a heaping scoop into your mouth.
