A Microwave Grilled Cheese Sandwich you can make with a magical microwave crispy food maker. Crispy, buttery, grilled cheese in 2 mins in your microwave!

Let’s face it, without Grilled Cheese Sandwiches most of us would have starved long ago. They’re crunchy, they’re creamy, and if you eat enough of them they feel like a hug.* So how do you make one in a microwave?

*Sandwiches are not a substitute for human affection.

MICROWAVE CRISPY GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH

Have you ever made a Grilled Cheese Sandwich with a microwave? Of course you haven’t, because that is pure madness. Or is it? Apparently, all we needed all this time was a microwaveable panini press.

You can make pretty much everything and anything in it, from the perfect crisp sandwich, to perfectly griddle bacon, to your roommate’s socks when you’re getting back at them for stealing your lunch even though it was clearly labeled (do not actually do this. It’s a fire hazard and will make your room stink like feet forever.)

The panini maker that we’ve listed here is perfect for making sandwiches, obviously, but we’ve also made bacon, fish sticks, breakfast sausage, corn dogs and a few other things that happened to be nearby at the time. It worked perfectly every time and wasn’t a complete pain to wash.

And one more thing, what goes perfectly with a Grilled Cheese Sandwich? If you answered anything other than Creamy Tomato Soup then you’re just wrong. Sorry, but you are. You should try this recipe for Microwave Tomato Soup.

How to make Microwave Crispy Grilled Cheese Sandwich

  • Add cheese to the center of two slices of bread and spread butter on outside of sandwich.
  • Place into grilled cheese sandwich maker and microwave for 2:30 – 3 minutes (1200 watt microwave).
  • Remove top of grilled cheese maker carefully and let cool for 2 minutes before eating (this will let the bread air out and crisp up)

SAVE SOME FOR LATER

Yeah, so we know it’s hard to let go, but everyone whose ever tried to reheat a grilled cheese knows that some things are better eaten fresh. While it may be painful, know that your Grilled Cheese made the world better for the brief time that it wasn’t in your stomach and move on.

COST FACTOR

$: This is a ridiculously cheap recipe. You can get everything you need at the grocery store, and you can get most of it in the same aisle.

There are some moments in life where a grilled cheese is all you need. I’ve never heard of a microwave panini press but this is a great idea!
