Microwave Chili Cheese Dip is an easy recipe with just three ingredients that puts queso to shame with chili, cream cheese and cheddar cheese!

Microwave Chili Cheese Dip is perfect for study groups or, more likely, parties!

Dip is delicious, and anyone who says they don’t love it is probably lying to seem cool. Chili Cheese Dip is super easy to make and goes great on pretty much any weird flavored chips your roommate picked up.

Seriously, the Super Bowl is coming up and you are going to need a dip. It doesn’t matter if you want dip, you need it. Chili Cheese Dip is great for groups of hungry people ready to cheer on their favorite teams, and you can make it in a microwave in mere minutes. The good news is that it’s creamy and delicious. The bad news is that you’ll have to actually get dressed to go to the party.

How to make Microwave Chili Cheese Dip

  • In the bottom of a 9 inch, microwave safe round baking dish, spread the cream cheese.
  • Top cream cheese with an even layer of chili.
  • Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over the chili.
  • Heat in the microwave on high heat 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.

SAVE SOME MICROWAVE CHILI CHEESE DIP FOR LATER

Before the dip starts to smell like your socks, you’re going to need to refrigerate it. You should cover the bowl or transfer the dip into a freezer bag in under two hours from the time you make it. It should last in the fridge for up to 4 days before it fuses into a cheese rock.

COST FACTOR

$: All you need is cream cheese, a can of chili and some shredded cheddar cheese. You can get all of this for really cheap at any grocery store.

MICROWAVE TABLE

  • 1,000 watts or higher: Higher wattage, lower cook time. Our microwave is about 1,250 watts, but if you have one with about 1,000 watts you will want to cook this recipe for 5:27.
  • 700 watts: Microwaves under about 900 don’t heat things evenly or consistently, so don’t go anywhere while you’re cooking, you need to keep an eye on it. Cook for about 8:34, then and test it with a finger tip before you put a huge scoop into your mouth.
