Microwave Queso Dip mad in just seconds with just salsa and condensed cheese soup, this party dip couldn’t be easier!
Queso Dip is the answer to the question “What should I serve up to people who are dropping by at the last minute because they’re inconsiderate?” This dip is delicious and dependable, unlike your friends.
MICROWAVE QUESO DIP
No need to run to the convenience store to make queso. No need to find space in your refrigerator to store fresh cheese either!
This queso dip uses just TWO shelf stable ingredients you can put together in seconds and microwave for a last minute get together or study snack.
You could of course switch things up too, use velveeta instead of the condensed cheese soup. You could use rotel tomatoes and chiles instead of salsa *use salsa, the flavor is way better* or you could even switch up the kinds of salsa and use a salsa verde.
Either way you’re. look for a mix of a processed cheese and a salsa here with a quick zap in the microwave.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH MICROWAVE QUESO DIP
You can go the traditional tortilla chip route, but you can also use fresh sliced veggies, like celery, carrots, and cucumbers, to dip into this delicious cheesy dip. You can also use potato chips and BBQ chips if you’re bored with the predictable tortilla route.
SAVE SOME FOR LATER
If you don’t quite manage to eat all of your dip with your friends, you can always seal it up and put it in the fridge for later. It reheats really well for up to about 5 days, and you can always have it with some chips when you have to stay up late to cram.
COST FACTOR
$: This recipe is actually more cost-effective than buying most pre-made dips. All you need are three ingredients, one of which you may already have in that drawer full of free condiments you get with your take out.
MICROWAVE TABLE
- 1,000 watts or higher: Higher wattage, lower cook time. Our microwave is about 1,250 watts, but if you have one with about 1,000 watts you will want to microwave the Dip for 2:25 minutes, then again for 1:15 minutes.
- 700 watts: Microwaves under about 900 don’t heat things evenly or consistently, so don’t go anywhere while you’re cooking. Cook the Queso Dip for 3:35 minutes, stir, then microwave again for 1:45 minutes.
