MICROWAVE MELTING CHOCOLATE CAKE

Chocolate Cake is one of the most amazing things invented by humankind, and Microwave Melting Chocolate Cake is the most amazing thing invented for a microwave. Go ahead and try it out, you’ll see what we’re talking about. It’s moist, it’s melty, and, most importantly, it has ALL the chocolate.

This cake is like a super warm chocolate soufflé. OR think of it like a really rich chocolate cake you underbaked so the part hidden under the top is still molten.

Either way, you’re going to love it.

HOW TO MAKE MICROWAVE MELTING CHOCOLATE CAKE

  1. Put the chocolate chips and butter in a microwave safe bowl or mug and microwave on high for 1 minute.
  2. Add in the sugar, vanilla, flour and egg.
  3. Microwave again for 45 seconds and enjoy immediately or top with vanilla ice cream.

Wrap it up, stuff it in the fridge, and never mention to your roommate that it’s in there or it will be gone before you know it. The cake will be fine for up to about 4 days before it get’s really nasty and you can let your roommate find it.

COST FACTOR

$$: You really don’t need that much to make this cake, and pretty much all of it you can get in the baking aisle of a grocery store. It can get a little expensive, but if you store them properly they will last a while.

MICROWAVE TABLE

  • 1,000 watts or higher: Higher wattage, lower cook time. Our microwave is about 1,250 watts, but if you have one with about 1,000 watts you will want to cook your cake for 0:45.
  • 700 watts: Microwaves under about 900 don’t heat things evenly or consistently, so don’t go anywhere while you’re cooking. Cook the cake for 1:00 but keep an eye on it.
